ABOUT ME
Georgi Dimitrov was born in 1989 on February 3 in the city of Pleven.
He has been interested in music since early childhood, singing in the Dobri Hristov Choir under the direction of the famous choir conductor Zoya Vidas.
He completed his secondary education at 51 Elisaveta Bagryana High School in Sofia in a history and philosophy class.
His talant was noticed by his father, who is a famous Bulgarian tenor. In 2008 he was admitted to a preparatory class at the National Academy of Music, Pancho Vladigerov. Since 2009 he has been accepted as a student in the class of Assoc. Prof. Velizara Karayankova. As a student in 2011 he was elected to a master class of the great opera soprano Mirella Freni in Modena, Italy. In the same year he made his operatic debut in the role of Papageno from WA Mozart's Magic Flute at the Musical Theater in Sofia. A. Mozart.
In 2014 he won a special award for young opera voice at the Piero Cappuccili Competition in Alexandria, Italy, the same year he won a special award at the Viva Verdi Competition for Young Opera Verdi's Voice. 2014 for Georgi is very successful in making his international debut as Belcore from Gaetano Donizetti's Love Elixir at the Teatro Scandici Florence, Italy.
In 2015 he recorded for the Slovenian National Radio with the Opera by Gianni Schicchi by G. Puccini and a concert performance at the Tsankariev Dom in the Slovenian capital Ljubljana. In 2015 he gave a recital in the Italian capital Rome in the famous Capella Orsini. Participates in the Master Class of Mezzo-soprano Number One of the 20th century Fiorenza Cossoto.She says of him that his voice reminds her of the great Bulgarian bass Boris Hristov, although Georgi is a baritone.
In 2017 he became a soloist at the Ruse Opera, where he made his debut in the Country of Misunderstandings by G. Rossini in the role of Buralicio, Figaro -Seville Barber, Belcore- Love Elixir, Amonasro-Aida, Count di Luna-Troubadour, Germont-La Traviata Cavaleria Rusticana-Alfio, Marquis Pose-Don Carlos and Tonio-Pagliacci. In 2017 he participated in the Opera Festival in Corfu, Greece with the role of Figaro from The Barber of Seville and partnered with Alfonso Antoniozi, considered the best Bartolo in the world.
Georgi left the Ruse Opera in 2020 and joined the Blagoevgrad Opera. In 2021 he won first prize, a special prize for a bright artistic presence, a special prize Gala Concert at the Varna Opera. In December he made his debut in the role of Escamillo by Carmen by Georges Bizet .
Georgi has the honor to work with the orchestras: Ruse Opera, Vidin Symphony, Vratsa Symphony, Sofia Opera, the Slovenian National Radio Orchestra and others.
He has toured in Romania, Greece, Italy, Spain and others.
